The artist has handed over the entirety of his £25k honor cash to the trust for venues, which operates to save the Britain's independent live music spots.
Fender was awarded the award on 16 October as his third album his work was named the outstanding release of the past year.
Fender has decided to hand the money over to the MVT, in appreciation of the essential function local spots fulfilled in his beginning days.
"I would not have achieved this success if it wasn't for all the performances I performed around the area, and further afield, when I was starting out," stated the artist. "These spaces are iconic, but they are in difficulty."
Since the start of 2023, at least 150 of these locations have permanently closed – roughly one-sixth of the total UK scene.
Over the past year, well-known musicians such as Pulp, Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Sheeran have all supported the MVT in its initiatives to keep the scene afloat, by applying a minor surcharge to their admission fees, which benefits smaller concert halls.
Fender also joined in, generating in excess of £100,000 on his 2024 arena tour to help 38 small stages across the UK.
These funds supported spaces that were confronting possible closure due to difficulties stemming from floods, blazes and bereavements, as well as regulatory hurdles, court cases and sound issues.
Some locations received funding support in improving facilities and technical equipment that directly benefitted artists and audiences.
"The notion that money from concerts in major spaces supports the smaller venues, where it kicks off for performers like me, is just logical," Sam Fender has stated.
Fender is among several artists to give his honor funds to charitable organizations.
Back when Pulp received the trophy in 1996 for their record their work, frontman Cocker announced that the band would contribute their winnings to the organization the charity.
During 2002, artist she shared her prize among a few good causes, including the NSPCC and a Sickle Cell charity.
"And I donated a thousand pounds to Highgate Newtown, to their gymnastics program, because I practiced gymnastics when I was growing up and they needed better apparatus," Ms Dynamite explained to outlets.
In recent years, Ezra Collective donated their funds to the local youth club that developed their band, in addition to other local music groups.
Additionally the 1994 recipients they contributed their winnings to a charity for MS after a acquaintance was identified with the disease.
"Receiving the award was quite enough," said vocalist Small. "The cash was the cherry on top but we could do without the bonus, because we had the honor. So our victory touched the lives of others."
In the past week, the MVT revealed it had protected a couple of grassroots venues in that region, by transferring them to local control.
The first in that area and The Croft in Bristol were purchased under the Own Our Venues initiative, which is backed by Arts Council England and supporters who buy "stakes" in the buildings.
